Does Saberi's release mean anything for Lee and Ling?

Roxana Saberi, a freelance journalist of Iranian and Japanese descent, was released by Iranian authorities despite a conviction of spying (her lawyer says the American reporter and former Miss North Dakota was caught carrying classified documents). Her eight-year sentence for espionage was reduced to a two-year suspended sentence for handling classified materials.

If there's one thing Iran and former rogue state Libya are good for, it's to provide positive role models for other outposts of tyranny, namely North Korea, which is still holding the stupid not stupid Euna Lee and Laura Ling for trial on espionage.

We shall have to see if Pyongyang follows Teheran's lead in order to make nice with Washington, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. It sucks to be those two right now. Or anyone on the US's side dealing with their case.
