South Korean rematch with Japan at the WBC

Since international sporting events are in no way a proxy for geopolitical relations and tensions, there is no worry that Korean pride would be boosted or injured in any way by the results of the World Baseball Classic, right? Right?

So it's no big deal that South Korea beat China (a 14-0 shutout) even worse than it beat Taiwan (a 9-0 shutout), or for that matter, worse than Japan beat South Korea (an embarrassing 14-2).

And of course, there's no worries that South Korea will face Japan again in the finals for Pool A. Right?
